- Graduate Student Mentorship:
I have effectively mentored 25 M.S. students in Computer Science on their
year-long and semester-long research projects. I developed student projects that not only contributed to cutting-edge research, but,
also developed necessary student skills for industry. The students worked on exciting topics, such as, protocols for
improving mobile web performance, developing essential tools and testbeds for measurements,
energy-efficiency in mobile systems, Cellular Networks and WLAN performance, QoE of popular mobile applications and the related
factor analysis, channelization, MIMO, and implementing MAC/PHY schemes using USRPs and Motes.
- Invited Guest Lecturer:
I have lectured in several Wireless and Mobile Networking, Fundamentals of Computer Networks and Artifical Intelligence classes, upon invitation.
- Service as Judge:
I served as a judge for the poster session in ACM Mobicom 2016's N2Women Workshop. The poster turnout was quite good. Congratulations to Ph.D. students Heba Ali and Hajir Mona for securing the first and second positions, respectively!
